Biography of Dr. Edmund Katiti
Dr. Edmund Katiti is the CEO of FikiyaTech Ltd and Commonwealth WRC Coordinator. Until March 2015 he was Head of the NEPAD e-Africa Programme, the ICT Task-Team of the NEPAD Agency; a technical body of the African Union. He holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunication Systems Engineering from the University of Essex, UK. Before joining the NEPAD Agency, Dr. Katiti served as Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of Kampala International University, prior to which he was the Founding Director of the Institute of Computer Science at Makerere University. Dr. Katiti served as President of the Uganda Computer Society 1988-90, and Chairman of the Uganda National Standards Council 1995-2000.
